Burnt Out

It's hard to be creative all the time. Like, on demand. I never used to feel this way until I started studying art in college. The nature of school is that you have assignments that must be completed by a certain date. Studying art means you have art projects to finish, and it means you have to be creative - and quick.

I've found that it is important during art school to make up my mind right away. I can usually only afford to think about projects for a short while, and the rest of the time must be spent creating the project. I've learned to trust my instincts more and more. Sometimes my first ideas aren't the best, but a lot of the time they turn out to be pretty good.

Right now I feel the pressure to be creative, and I don't really like it. I find myself getting sick of trying to find good ideas - searching the web for the latest and greatest design gets tiring. Right now I just want to remind myself to take it easy - have FUN with it, otherwise I'm going to end up hating my life! I know that art and design make me happy, and I need to get over the fact that they often require me to be creative on the spot, and just keep a positive outlook on everything.

I'll keep working on it.
