So, it's been awhile, and I'm not sure why I haven't posted anything... I haven't done a lot of art (pretty much none) - so maybe that's why I've avoided my blog that is supposed to be about art!
There was an opportunity through the center for book arts to make 125 copies of something smaller than 8.5 x 11 inches. I wanted to participate, but I started too late and my project failed. I wanted to do a linoleum relief print, printed on 125 playing cards, front and back. I carved the linoleum and set up a home-made inking station, but it didn't work out. The piece of linoleum was too bendy, and was therefore quite difficult to roll up and print:
I haven't gotten far in "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain." The copy of the book I bought on eBay was missing pages, so that has halted my progress for the time being; until I can get a hold of one from the library.
For publicity at work (in the theatre), this other guy and I decided to make a stop-motion light-writing (light graffiti) video for the 2009-2010 theatre season. It turned out really well. Here are some still photos:
The final video with music and everything is here.
Also for work I got to shoot a really great photo shoot with a gorgeous actress. These are publicity photos for our upcoming show, "Big Love" by Charles Mee.
That's all for now!
