I'm 25

Last year on this very same day, I wrote a birthday post: I'm 24.

Me on my 3rd birthday

For some reason, 25 feels like a big one. It feels like a realization; like the end to something, or a beginning to something new. My sister called me today and said, "you're 1/4th of the way to being 100!" Wowza.

So just like last year, I'm going to write about whatever I want. And here are some more life lessons.

1. People are just people.
Wherever you go, most people are the same. We all want the same things. Everyone had a childhood. People who know more than you weren't always that smart. Everybody poops.

2. Fucking be nice.
Don't get so wrapped up in yourself and the minutia of "problems" in your life that you forget to be nice. Acknowledge other human beings. Once in awhile, go out of your way to be extra polite and friendly; it's good practice.

3. It's important to wow 'em.
Ship. Deliver something special, and do it as often as you can. When you surprise people with your awesomeness, they'll remember.

4. Nobody cares what you wear.
Unless it's a fashionista critiquing strangers' outfits from afar, nobody that you pass on the street remembers what you were wearing 5 seconds after you're gone.

5. Nobody cares if you shave your legs.
If you keep moving, nobody will even notice. If your significant other minds your hairs, that's even more reason to not shave.

6. There's no such thing as "too old".
As soon as people become parents, they relive all that fun kid stuff with their children. So why, between the ages of 16-23 (or whenever you have kids) should you pretend you're so above being childish?

Here's to being forever young ♥
