Talk about your joys

{ source }

This really resonated with me today. Everyone loves to complain. I complain about how people on facebook are always writing status updates of pure complaining (hmm...) Even if you did try to talk about your joys, people can barely listen. The ones who do are special. Usually people look for the negatives in your good news. They ask questions like "are you sure you want to do that?" or "did you ever think about [enter negativity here]?"

A "no apologies policy" -- Wow. What if we all lived life that way? When it comes to our creations, no apologies will be given. I did this because I wanted to. I made this and I love it. How refreshing! And you would never force yourself to make something just to please another. Your heart would be in everything you spend time making. You're doing it because you find joy in it. Do what you love and just abandon all the rest.

  1. I love when people share joyful stories. Moods influence the moods of others, so why not aim for a postive effect.

  2. You're so right, Jacqui -- moods influence moods! That's a good mantra to keep in mind...
