This year I thought it would be neat (and convenient) to have a generic greeting card that we could send to anyone, for any occasion, throughout the entire year. While brainstorming what type of illustration would work best on this year-round card, Rob suggested doing a "four seasons" theme. That way, it's relevant all the time. I picked one of my new favorite quotes and drew up this illustration.

I drew it in my sketchbook using watercolor paints and an ink pen. I then scanned it into my computer and saturated the colors so it would make a nice, bright print. I ordered postcard-sized prints with envelopes from Overnightprints.com.

Sending plain 4x6 postcards through the mail was my original idea, but I decided at the last minute to order envelopes, too. The backside of the postcard is blank, but the print is almost like a little mini piece of art. I wanted them to be protected through the mail system, so that's why I got envelopes.

These little greeting postcards turned out super cute, so I decided to upload the art to my Society6 shop. You can buy this as a 7x10 mini print or as an iPhone case.

Cute!
D'aaww, that all-purpose design came out perfectly! :D
